This notice describes how we process the personal data of users who visit the website euroforbrescia.com (“Site”), in accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018 (Italian Privacy Code).

This notice applies only to the Site and not to other websites that the user may visit through links on it.

2. Types of data collected and purposes of processing

a) Data provided voluntarily through the contact forms

The Site offers several contact forms (general information requests, technical support requests for a specific product, quote/support requests from the “Technical support” area). Depending on the form completed, the data requested may include: first and last name, company name, email address, telephone number, item code/SKU, description of the technical request, as well as any attachments (e.g. photos of the nameplate or of the component).

Purpose: responding to requests for information, quotes, technical assistance and after-sales support.
Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject / legitimate interest of the Data Controller in responding to requests received (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Provision of data: optional, but failure to provide the data marked as mandatory makes it impossible to handle the request.

b) Data provided in speculative job applications (“Work with us”)

Using the dedicated form, users may submit an application by providing their first and last name, email, telephone number, position of interest, cover letter/notes and their CV in PDF format.

Purpose: assessing the application for current or future recruitment opportunities.
Legal basis: consent of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by accepting this notice when submitting the form.
Retention: CVs are kept for a maximum of 24 months from submission, unless consent is withdrawn, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

c) Browsing data

The IT systems and software procedures used to operate the Site collect, in the course of their normal operation, certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols (e.g. IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, access times). This data is used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information and to check that the Site is working properly, and is deleted or kept for a limited period, unless it is needed to investigate computer crimes.

d) Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses technical cookies and, subject to the user’s consent, preference, statistics and third-party cookies. For detailed information on the types, purposes and duration of individual cookies, and on how to manage or withdraw consent at any time, please see the Cookie Policy.

3. Processing methods

Processing is carried out using IT and/or electronic tools, with organisational methods and logic strictly related to the stated purposes, and in any case in such a way as to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data, in compliance with the technical and organisational measures required by the GDPR.

4. Recipients of the data

Personal data may be processed by the Data Controller’s staff and collaborators, as persons authorised to process the data, and by third parties providing services that support the Data Controller’s business, appointed as Data Processors under Art. 28 GDPR where necessary, including, by way of example:

• The provider of hosting and technical management services for the Site (Hostinger);
• The provider of the WordPress CMS platform and of the plugins used by the Site (e.g. contact form management – Contact Form 7, security – Wordfence);
• The provider of the Google reviews display widget (Trustindex), which embeds content from Google LLC;
• Consultants and email service providers for sending the messages generated by the contact forms.

5. Transfer of data to third countries

Some service providers used by the Site (e.g. the Google reviews widget) may involve the transfer of data to countries outside the EU, in particular the United States. In such cases, the transfer takes place on the basis of appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR (e.g. the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses) adopted by the individual providers.

6. Data retention period

Data collected through the contact forms is kept for as long as necessary to handle the request and, thereafter, for the period required by applicable law where a contractual or business relationship is established. CVs received through the “Work with us” form are kept for a maximum of 24 months. Browsing data is kept for the time strictly necessary for the security purposes stated above.

7. Rights of the data subject

As a data subject, the user has the right, under Articles 15-22 GDPR, to:

• obtain confirmation as to whether their personal data is being processed and access it (right of access);
• obtain the rectification of inaccurate data or the completion of incomplete data;
• obtain the erasure of their data, in the cases provided for by law (right to be forgotten);
• obtain the restriction of processing;
• obtain data portability, where technically feasible;
• object to processing, in whole or in part;
• withdraw their consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before its withdrawal;
• lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali – www.garanteprivacy.it) if they believe that the processing infringes applicable law.

8. Minors

The Site is not intended for children under 16 and the Data Controller does not knowingly collect personal data relating to minors through the Site.

9. Changes to this notice

The Data Controller reserves the right to amend this privacy notice at any time, notifying users on this page. Please check this page regularly, referring to the date of the last update shown at the top.
